TOGETHER IN VICTORY

We are in a Spiritual battle and we have a common enemy.
From Genesis 3 to Revelation 20 we find a common enemy slithering though the scripture. The common enemy is Satan Matthew 16:18b I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. We are called to win this battle as a team, a body, a three-fold cord and army fighting a common enemy for a common cause. Psalms 133:1-3 Unity is “good and pleasant.” Then we are given two pictures of the power of unity and the long term blessing that comes with it.
Oil on Aaron’s head and how anointing is passed from generation to generation
The water cycle picking up moisture in one place and dropping it in another.
The presence of God is a place of “commanded blessing.” Your personal victory is connected to your connections with the things of God. Romans 8:31-39 Notice the “us” and the “we.” Isolation creates a perfect place of the enemy to get a foot hold. Where does all this victory come from? Jesus went to the cross to give us the victory over every enemy we might face.

God has positioned us in a Kairos time – a moment in time when divine favor meets divine opportunity. There are three things that happen in these divine moments - Acceleration   Unusual Occurrences
    Supernatural Interventions
Joshua 1:1-9 Four times God speaks to a new leader looking at insurmountable odds and says, “Be strong and courageous.” Strong - Seize, restrain, conquer
    Courageous - alert, single minded
Proverbs 27:17 Obeying God is always the right thing to do, but it's not always the easiest. Strength and Courage is required if we are going to fulfill the assignments that God has for our life. 2 Timothy 1:7
What is God saying to you?

    Matthew 28:16-20
The eleven disciples went to meet Jesus on the mountain together. Not all believed.
He commissioned them to do 4 things; go, disciple, baptize, and teach.
He promised to be with them until the end.
    Acts 2:1 / 4 / 39 / 44 / 45 - “ALL”
In Acts 2:17/18 Peter preaches the first gospel message and boldly reminds us that the Prophet Joel said that this revival would include sons, daughters, young, old, men servants and maid servants.
The key elements of a dynamic church are found in the final verses of Acts 2:42-47 They continued steadfastly in apostles’ doctrine. They had fellowship. They had communion together. They prayed together. They supported one another.
    They went to worship together.
    They ate together.
Notice the benefits of all this “togetherness”
They had favor with the people.
The Lord added to the church.

    Psalm 133
A song of ascents. Of David.
1 How good and pleasant it is     when God’s people live together in unity… …For there the Lord bestows his blessing,     even life forevermore. Togetherness: 1: Crushes Ideals 2: Creates Disciples 3: Cultivates Love 4: Culminates in the Kingdom of God 1: Crushes Ideals Togetherness forces us to release our will for the church and adopt His will instead. Matthew 9:9-13 and 10:2-3 Togetherness values people over ideals. Only that fellowship which faces such disillusionment, with all its unhappy and ugly aspects, begins to be what it should be in God’s sight, begins to grasp in faith the promise that is given to it. - Dietrich Bonheoffer, Life Together 2: Creates Disciples Togetherness reveals the true state of the heart. Proverbs 27:17 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 3: Cultivates Love John 13:34-35 Togetherness forces us to choose: be like Jesus and loves those who cause us pain, or reject Jesus and be filled with contempt for our fellow man. 4: Togetherness Culminates in the Kingdom of God The Kingdom of God is less something that is actively created and more so the product of healthy, daily, passionate, togetherness. 1 Peter 2:9-10
