GOD AND MAN MAN IS ETERNAL
Sunday, November 6, 2016
Every human that has ever lived with live forever somewhere. Throughout the Bible we find there are two eternal destinations - Heaven and Hell. Ecclesiastes 3:9-11 - Time, Purpose and Eternity God has promised us eternity, without without Him it will not be a good eternity. Paul takes this idea and clarifies it in a beautiful way. 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 This earthly house (our body) is a tent temporary, not eternal.
Our physical man groans, desiring the eternal.
God prepared us for eternity and it is His Spirit that seals us / guarantees our eternity with Him. While we are on this earth we cannot enjoy the fullness of the presence of God. But once we leave this body we will be present with the Lord.
The Bible calls us sojourners, not of this world, pilgrims and strangers.
All this is in reference to this journey we are on from time to eternity. Matthew 19:16-22 He asked a good question. We all ask this question in one way or another. Jesus gives him a challenge of obedience to the law. The man boost of his obedience. Jesus now offers another challenge, a challenge of the heart.
This is where the young man fails the test and walks away in sorrow.
I have found that the most difficult test are the test of the heart. Our daily decision drive our eternal destiny. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 - Lay hold of eternal life

Ruth 4:1-4 This is an amazing story that gives us a beautiful picture of what Jesus did for you and me. Romans 3:23 We have all sinned. We all fall short of the glory of God. We have been justified by His grace.
Our redemption is in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:7 God wants to redeem every part of our life. Luke 19:1-10 The Son of Man - This is Jesus speaking and He always referred to himself as the Son of Man. came - He traveled heaven to earth. to seek and save - Not just experiment with a society and do a few good deeds. GOD & MAN GOD IS LOVE Sunday, October 16, 2016
Love is the deepest of human needs. Everyone needs to be loved. This is not by accident, but God designed humanity to be loved by Him.
Genesis 3:21 - God reveals His love for humanity by covering their shame. 1 Peter 4:8 reveals this principle when Peter writes that love will cover a multitude to sins. Deuteronomy 7:6-8 Zephaniah 3:17 - We gain insight into God’s plan for you and I through the prophet Zephaniah. Luke 11:42 - The danger is that living FOR God becomes the greater focus then experiencing the love OF God. 1 John 4:17-19 - His love should give us a confidence and a boldness in the “day of judgement” (time of accusation and condemnation). Our love for Him is our reciprocation for His love toward us.

LEIBNIZ CONTINGENCY ARGUMENT 1. Everything that exists has an explanation for its existence, either in the necessity of its nature or in an external cause. 2. If the universe has an explanation for its existence it is God. 3. The universe exists.
    4. The Explanation for the universes existence is God.
God is the best explanation for why anything at all exists. THE COSMOLOGICAL ARGUMENT Basically cosmology is the study of the origin of the Universe. So basically where did everything come from and how did it get here. 1. Everything that begins to exist has a cause. 2. The Universe began to exist.
    3. Therefore the universe has a cause.
MORAL ARGUMENT 1. If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist. 2. Objective moral values do exist.
    3. Therefore, God exists.

    GROWTH
    Sunday, September 25, 2016
All true growth starts in the unseen and moves to the seen. 2 Peter 1:2-11 Peter starts this letter by laying out his desire for the reader, as well as, expressing his confidence in God to do His part to help us grow. 2 Peter 3:17-18 Peter concludes this letter by pushing us to grow in grace and in knowledge. Growth - the process of increasing in size. Growth is a part of God’s original design and should be organic.
Adam and Eve - Genesis 1:27-28 be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth
Noah - Genesis 8:15-17 be fruitful, multiply on the earth Israel - Deuteronomy 11:24 everywhere you place your foot I will extend your territory The Church - Acts 2:47 the Lord added to the church daily Are you growing? Most of the people who call themselves Christians are nothing more than consumers. God's mandate has always been that we grow, take territory and expand, both personally and as a group. Isaiah 52:2-3 Our hunger to change and be effective must exceed our desire to remain the same and be ineffective. There are four things we must never stop doing as we continue to grow. Remain in the Word. Remain connected with God and fellow believers through Worship. Remain plugged in to a place of service.
    Remain people of prayer.
1 Corinthians 13:11 What do you need to put away so that you can grow?

    Momentum
    Series: (All)
Sunday, September 18, 2016 Newton discovered that: Momentum is the product of the mass (weight) and velocity (speed) of an object. Romans 5:20 Leviticus 26:7-8 God’s plan is that we move from victory to victory. Let’s define Momentum, for this moment as, movement toward or away from God’s best. Momentum is largely determined by 3 things - attitude, decisions, and actions. Zechariah 4:6-10 –“Do not despise the day of small things.” To generate momentum, we need to be willing to change. And with that change, we need to be willing to move together creating mass. This is called the snowball effect. You could be one step away from finding your momentum. Acts 10:1-4 Cornelius probably had a hundred reasons and opportunities to quit, but he kept his devotions, feared God, gave anyway, and prayed always. At some point something snapped and Cornelius’ momentum kicked in. Victory is always possible of the person who refuses to stop fighting (Napoleon Hill). When people get caught up with what is right and they are willing to sacrifice for it, there is no stopping point short of victory (MLK, Jr).

    Finding a Meeting Place
LET MY PEOPLE GO FINDING A MEETING PLACE
    Sunday, August 7, 2016
Exodus 33:7-11 To help with the chronology of events, this was set up after the 40 days on the mountain and prior to the tabernacle of the Tabernacle of the Wilderness. 1. If we are going to make this journey from bondage to freedom we must find a meeting place after our ah-ha moment with God. It's called relationship! 2. Moses was intentional in finding a place to meet with God. You and I need a place away from the noise of life. Matthew 6:6 3. The people gained respect for Moses as they saw his lifestyle. Matthew 5:16 4. The cloud was evidence of God’s presence. This can be a real clue to our personal relationship with God. When we set up a time and place, God will show up and speak up. James 4:8

    The Point of No Return
THE POINT OF NO RETURN Let My People Go Series Sunday, July 17, 2016 Once Israel makes their way out of Egypt, God gives them a constant reminder of His presence; a cloud by day and a fire by night.
When you study typology you can see that both the cloud and fire represents the Spirit of God.
Exodus 14:21-23 This is a powerful story of God’s ability to deliver. We are called to be free!!! John 8:36 boldly declares that when the Son sets us free, we are free indeed! Your freedom is found in God’s power to deliver. 1 Corinthians 10:1-2 When Israel crossed the Red Sea, they had only one choice for survival – to unite under Moses’ leadership. Turning back to Egypt was no longer an option. When you and I are baptized we are crossing over into a point of no return.
Jesus talked about not looking back.
Paul spoke of keeping our eye on the prize.
Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:5, if he wanted to see or enter into the revelation of the Kingdom he had to be born again. Born of WATER and SPIRIT!
In the New Testament church we find a pattern of baptism. Acts 2:38 - 3000 were added to the church Acts 8:12,16 - Samaritans
Acts 10:48 - Cornelius and his family
Acts 19:5 - Disciples of John In each of these we find 3 critical elements: They were immersed (Baptism means to dip, go under or be immersed).
They were all baptized in the Name of Jesus.
There is an outward sign of the Holy Spirit connected.
Just as Israel left Egypt, we must repent and walk away from sin. Similarly, as Israel went through the Red Sea, we are called to go through the waters of baptism.
Finally, as the cloud led the people of Israel, we are now led by the Holy Spirit. The
