In Acts 11 we find the news had spread, and all the Jews were upset that Peter lowered himself to sit and eat with a Gentile (non-Jewish person).

Prejudice runs rampant, and it’s not just in race. We find prejudices in all aspects of life: Social, Finances, Class, Education, Community, Age, Culture, etc.

All packaged into one word – ISSUES

Acts 11:1-3
This contention is nothing more than the evidence of a bias ideology.

Verse 11 is interesting in that the Spirit instructed Peter to go and connect with these people that were not like him, “DOUBTING NOTHING.”

Verse 15 Peter points out that the Spirit fell on the Gentiles as it had fallen on them in Acts 2.

Verse 17 Peter then asks a rhetorical question, “Who was I that I could withstand God?”

That may be the question that every one of us needs to face. If God is working in one area or another, but I have issues with those people, should I withstand God?

Galatians 3:26-29
Verse 26 they were first called Christians.

Christians face and fight down their issues.
